The Victories for Veterans Challenge is a fitness event benefiting DAV (Disabled American Veterans). Participants first pick their track to run, walk, or ride; then they choose their own personal fitness goal for (i.e. 10 miles) along with a personal fundraising goal. You can complete your activity anywhere you would like. Whether you sync a fitness tracker up or track your miles manually, your progress is updated on your personal event page. By sharing the page with your family and friends and using our event toolkit you can help raise funds to create your own Victory for a Veteran.
Signing up for the Victories for Veterans Challenge is free! But we do encourage everyone to raise as much as they can for DAV so we can continue to create victories for veterans of all eras.
You can choose to complete your challenge activity wherever you like. Whether it’s in the park, in the gym, or on the sidewalks with your friends by your side. You decide the pace and you decide the place.
You can begin your challenge whenever you're ready! We recommend structuring your goals around a 4-week or 30-day period of time.

Everydayhero is an online fundraising platform which you can use to collect your donations. Your fundraising page will be set up automatically when you sign up for the Victories for Veterans Challenge. You can access your page here and by entering the log in details you supplied when you signed up. You can share your page with friends and family to encourage them to donate to you. If you have been using MapMyFitness, Strava or Fitbit whilst completing your challenge we’ll have a running total and will automatically know once you’ve finished. Or you can manually update your fundraising page yourself. Find out how to do both here. Alternatively, let us know by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
MapMyFitness is a training app which tracks and records your distance. Everydayhero is partnered with MapMyFitness which means you can link your fundraising page to MapMyFitness and your page will then be updated every time you complete a run. Any of the miles you complete using your ﬁtness app we will know about (if it is linked to your fundraising page). You just need to let us know about the rest of them by manually updating your fundraising page. Just remember– don’t manually log any miles that you’ve used a ﬁtness app to track– we will already have those logged.
The Resources page on our website has lots of tools to help you raise money for DAV. We will also be communicating with participants via email throughout the challenge to help guide them in reaching their goals.
Complete the Offline Donation Form and send donations directly to DAV. We will accept cash donations but discourage sending cash in the mail.
Please allow up to 2 weeks for donations to be processed.
From the Victories for Veterans homepage, click the“Donate” button. Select “Donate to a participant or team,” and search for the participant/team’s name. This will take you to the participant’s Personal Page where you’ll be able to make a contribution by clicking the donation button.

Funds raised through the Victories for Veterans Challenge support DAV’s mission of fulfilling our promises to the men and women who served. Just as America’s service members fought for us, DAV fights for them. DAV assists veterans by helping them gain access to the medical, financial and educational benefits they’ve earned along with connecting them to meaningful employment opportunities. There is no fundraising minimum to participate but we simply can’t do this without your help! We encourage all participants to reach out to family and friends and encourage them to support the event.

Register for the Victories for Veterans Challenge. Once you setup your profile, on your personal "supporter" page, you will see a button "Create a new team" or "Join an existing team". Click on the option you desire, and follow the prompts.
Yes, you must "log out" of your profile in order to create a new challenge for an additional person. You can also have multiple challenges in one profile; from the login screen, select "Create New Challenge" to add a new a new challenge into your profile.
